The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees. Trustees are elected in November of odd-numbered years. They serve a four-year term beginning on January 1st of the following year.
Two trustees are elected in the year after the presidential election, and one is elected the year before. There is also an elected township fiscal officer. This officer serves a four-year term beginning on April 1st of the year after the November election, which is held in the year before the presidential election. If a vacancy occurs in the fiscal officership or on the board of trustees, the remaining trustees appoint an interim to fill it.
